For many, 2017 has been a year filled with milestones, both good and bad. From extreme weather patterns to new changes in the healthcare industry, this past year has held many new surprises for people around the country. Amidst so much that has challenged community businesses, Nutex Health has stood strong, with each of its facilities, as 2017 has been a year of new development and growth.

This past year, Nutex Health has grown with our facilities and our communities. We have survived Hurricane Harvey, with Victoria ER and Golden Triangle Emergency Center, staying open throughout the entire storm to serve people in need of safety from the rising waters. We have become a part of your community, with Austin Emergency Center’s Annual Back-to-School Bash. We have even become award winners, with Grand Parkway Emergency Center, the Best ER in South Texas for 2017, Golden Triangle Emergency Center, the Best ER in Port Arthur, and Texarkana Emergency Center, who received the Best Emergency Care and Best Social Media Presence awards from ATL Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards in February.

2017 has been more than just a year for events and awards, though. The Colony ER has grown into The Colony ER Hospital this year, bringing Nutex Health further onto the stage of community-driven healthcare. We have also opened several new facilities, including Concho Valley ER, and Steamboat Emergency Center—Nutex Health’s debut into freestanding ERs outside of Texas. These new and growing facilities have become part of the Nutex family, and we are proud to ring in 2018 with all of them.

The new year will bring even more opportunities at Nutex Health. This January, New Braunfels ERwill be opening its doors, and our expansion continues, with Arizona and Louisiana on the list for new facilities. Each new facility joins Nutex Health’s repertoire of freestanding ERs that are committed to uphold high standards of compassionate, concierge-level care. “I’m really excited for what we are going to do in 2018,” says Dr. Thomas Vo, CEO of Nutex Health. “We’ve been making a huge difference in emergency healthcare, and I believe that we can go even further.”

La Toyia Laws, Director of Billing at Nutex Health and Director of Operations at Tyvan Billing, chimes in, “We’ve had a big year in 2017, but I know 2018 will be even bigger. We are all very proud of the work we’ve done.”

As Nutex Health enters a new year, we will continue to be a part of your community healthcare experience. Engaging with our small communities matters to us, and we hope to see even more of you in the coming year. Our commitment to community-driven healthcare continues into 2018, which many patients help us to do every day with open communication and feedback. Here’s to a Happy New Year, and a new year of good health with Nutex Health!
