Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Bates is an experienced and proactive finance leader with a CPA and MBA. Since 2006, he has served as Vice President of Accounting/Corporate Controller at U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc., (NYSE: USPH), one of the largest publicly traded, pure-play national operators of outpatient physical therapy clinics and provider of industrial injury prevention services.

Among his many successes, Mr. Bates improved overall accuracy by monitoring the monthly, quarterly, and yearly end closing process for more than 600 locations with approximately $500 million in annual revenues located in 39 states and 6 regions with more than 145 legal partnerships. He directed and led at team of up to 35 employees, including 6 regional controllers, and was actively involved in M&A work that included tasks ranging from valuation/modeling to due diligence all the way through the pre/post close integration stage.

Mr. Bates brings extensive experience to Nutex Health Inc. Prior to serving as Vice President of Accounting/Corporate Controller at USPH, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer at Commerciant, L.P., Chief Accounting Officer/Corporate Controller at National Alarm Technologies LLC, Assistant Corporate Controller at American Residential Services, Inc., and Audit Experienced Senior at Arthur Andersen LLP. His areas of expertise include strategic financial planning, risk assessment & evaluation, Internal Audit/SOX reporting, valuation and deal acquisition, and many more. Mr. Bates received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston.

The Company believes that Mr. Bates’ extensive knowledge of Finance and Accounting, in combination with his experience with the SEC, makes him a valuable Chief Financial Officer.
