Daniel J. Irving MD, MBA serves as physician owner and chief operating officer at NW Indiana ER & Hospital. As a proven leader with nearly 15 years of experience, Dr. Irving brings a wealth of operational and financial knowledge to the role. His strong background in financial management, process improvement, and staffing model optimization guides both the short and long term strategy of the organization. In 2017, he was awarded the Vituity Excellence in Leadership Award for his outstanding work as medical director at Presence Mercy Medical Center.

Dr. Irving earned his Medical degree at the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, and his MBA at Auburn University. He completed the emergency medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Queens where he was elected chief resident by peers and faculty. He is board certified in emergency medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. His insights and expertise have been published in Emergency Medicine Essentials and the Tarascon Global Health Pocket Guide.

Dr. Irving is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, and Surfer’s Medical Association. His love of the great outdoors and passion for surfing, mountain and road biking, and photography is reflected in his memberships and time outside of the office. Most of all though, he enjoys spending time with his family.
